Why We Support Businesses in This Industry

Mental health websites carry a unique responsibility. They must feel safe, calm, and easy to navigate, particularly for individuals experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional distress.

In this space, clarity matters more than cleverness. Visitors are often seeking reassurance, understanding, and a clear next step. A well-structured website can reduce friction, build trust early, and support people in taking action when they need help most.

Websites in the psychology and counselling sector must prioritise simplicity, accessibility, and emotional tone, ensuring information is easy to absorb without adding to cognitive load.

What We Did

The goal of this project was to transform an existing website into a more professional, minimal, and intuitive experience that better reflects Anna’s approach to psychology and supports clients in taking the next step.

The website was designed to align with Anna’s calm, grounded, and highly personal style of practice, while making key services such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD support easier to understand and access.

How we did it

We began with a Planning Call and Discovery Session to understand Anna’s experience, values, and the needs of her clients, particularly those navigating anxiety and ADHD. This informed a design and content direction focused on clarity, simplicity, and emotional comfort.

We then structured the website to reduce overwhelm and guide users toward booking with ease.

Key considerations included:

  • Creating a clean, minimalist layout to avoid visual clutter and cognitive overload
  • Structuring content into clear sections with simple pathways to learn more
  • Highlighting core focus areas such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD with accessible entry points
  • Supporting booking intent by making pathways to enquiry and next steps more visible
  • Using a light, calming visual style aligned with the client’s office environment and brand preferences
  • Ensuring the website reflects a personal, human approach rather than a clinical or overly complex tone

This approach directly addressed the limitations of the previous site, which was described as cluttered and difficult to navigate , and aligned with the need for a more structured and user-friendly experience identified in the strategy research .

Outcomes

The resulting website presents a clearer, more professional online presence that better reflects Anna’s experience and approach.

Users are now able to:

  • Understand services more quickly through simplified structure and content
  • Navigate the site with less overwhelm, particularly important for the target audience
  • Identify key areas of support such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD with ease
  • Move more confidently toward making a booking or enquiry

The overall experience supports trust, approachability, and ease of use, aligning with the needs of individuals seeking psychological support.
