Why We Support Businesses in This Industry

Outdoor power equipment businesses need websites that do more than display products. Customers are often comparing brands, prices, stock availability, finance options and servicing support before they decide where to buy.

For retailers in this sector, the website needs to support both online purchasing and local trust. A clear structure helps customers browse mowers, chainsaws, pressure cleaners, parts and accessories, while service and repair information gives buyers confidence that support is available beyond the sale.

What We Did

The goal was to create a fresh, more professional eCommerce website that retained Mower City Tweed’s existing brand direction while improving the shopping experience. The project was shaped around the client’s need for easier product browsing, a smoother checkout process, stock level control and stronger pathways for online sales.

The website also needed to reflect the business’s core values of customer service, expert advice, reliability, quality products and competitive pricing, while supporting homeowners, property owners and professional landscapers looking for trusted outdoor power equipment.

How we did it

Through the Website Design Brief and Digital Discovery Session, Accentuate identified the key priorities for the website: modernising the eCommerce experience, improving checkout usability, supporting inventory control, and balancing online sales with click and collect and service requirements.

The approach focused on:

  • Creating clear product pathways across major categories including push mowers, ride-on mowers, power equipment, chainsaws, pressure cleaners, parts and accessories, commercial, used and specials.
  • Keeping customer actions visible through shop, add to cart, contact, login and click and collect pathways.
  • Highlighting featured products, current specials and brand-based browsing to support product discovery.
  • Supporting local trust by presenting the workshop and service facility, finance options, advice resources, brand catalogues and direct contact details.
  • Considering the difference between shippable products and larger equipment that may require local pickup, setup or servicing support.

Outcomes

The website now gives Mower City Tweed a clearer online presence for its product range, local expertise and service offering. Customers can browse by product type, view featured products and specials, shop by brand, access finance information, and find service and contact details from one central website.

The refreshed structure better aligns the website with the business’s customer experience goals: making it easier to find the right equipment, understand available support, and move confidently towards purchase or enquiry.
